Watching TV

Haylee is starting to show different facial expressions when she watches her little movies. Her eyes are very intent on the screen but sometimes her little mouth will react to the climax of the movie. Every few minutes she will look over at me to make sure I'm watching it with her. If I'm not in the room she will call for me to come back. Sometimes the call is little babbling, other times it's full on crying. I much prefer the babble. Obviously I put the movies on for her so I can escape and get things done so I've become very good at sneaking away.

Crawling

I've been getting asked a lot lately if Haylee is crawling so I thought I would post my answer.

Just when I think maybe she will inch along on her belly she will..............roll to her back and be as happy as can be. We are far off from crawling which I am thrilled with. When I sit her down somewhere it's great to come back in half hour and she is still in the same exact place.

A typical day with us in Pittsburgh

I don't have much to post about today so I thought I would share what my day is like. Weston usually goes to the gym between 7 and 8 and I'm still out cold sleeping. I hear Haylee calling for me anytime between 8 and 9. I feed her, play with her for a little while and then Weston will come home and take over playing with Haylee. I leave for the gym and come back just in time for Weston to go to his daily noon mtg. I feed Haylee again and put her down when he leaves and shower for the day. Weston will come home for lunch at about 1:30 and of course being the great wife that I am I have a hearty lunch all ready for him. Haylee eats her solid meal for the day with him. Then he is off to work. This is what the residents of PA open their door to see. A very nice young man with a big smile on his face ready to install an alarm in their home to keep them safe(I have to put in a plug for him in case any PA people are reading this). When he is gone I have the routine of cleaning up the kitchen and tidying things up and then I hang out with the different girls here. There are a lot of us so sometimes we all get together or I hang out in smaller groups. We take walks or run errands. When Haylee takes her afternoon nap I like to read, pay bills, talk on the phone or watch baby story, blog. Target is always a fun activity to do in the summer since I can spend hours there. We don't have a pool at our complex so thats a bummer but I'm excited to take Haylee to the community pool. I just haven't yet. Often time the girls and I will eat dinner together or watch movies. I put Haylee down at 8 and then I make a gourmet dinner and wait for Weston to come home. By gourmet dinner I mean anything that I can make for one person that late at night. Sometimes I have to be honest it comes down to peanut butter and jelly. He normally will get home between 10 and 10:30. And then we break out in a mad wii tournament or watch a movie. Then it's off to bed for it all to start over the next day. I have to say I have a pretty great life during the summer and I'm so proud of Weston for all the hard work he does. Saturdays are exactly the same but Weston goes to work at 9 instead of noon. He works 9 to 9. I think that is the hardest part of the summer for Weston. So if this sounds appealing to anyone come out and visit us!!! We would love to have you come!!!

7 Months

Happy Birthday to a cute 7 month old!! The past couple of days Weston has been telling me he has a surprise for me. So today he took me to a chocolate factory and cute ice cream parlor that is about a mile away from where we live. It was so cute and it was a great activity to do for Haylee's 7 months. I'm just a little concerned about my diet for the rest of the time we are here. I'm pretty sure I'm going to find myself there a lot. I'm also getting Haybug's pictures taken today. Smile Big!!!!!

What PA resident would not want to buy something from this good looking man? I would for sure let him in my home!!!!! Especially if he brought that cute little baby with him.

This is where I want to live. Inside this chocolate castle. It was pretty amazing. We could barely get Haylee to look at the camera long enough. She was in awe of all the candy. That's why our heads are so close together, I was holding her head in the direction of the camera.

Just a little cutie

First Time

Ready for the zoo! Bring on the animals!!

At the zoo in the elephant area. Shannon, Jessica and Me and Haylee. It was a great day at the pittsburgh zoo because it wasn't too hot so the animals were out and somewhat active.

Haylee's first swing experience at the park. She is a little small for the swing but she had fun flopping around in it.

Her very first time wearing a skirt and she is ready for some sun time

After we got done sitting in the sun and playing in the grass

Haylee had her first time at the zoo, swinging in a swing at the park, eating ice-cream and wearing a skirt this past week. It was quite the week for us. Among these pictures are some other cute pics of Haybug. She turns 7 months this week and she is so much fun. She is not anywhere near crawling. I think it will be another couple of months. But I'm totally ok with that because she is much easier to keep track of while just sitting there. I had in my mind that she would be crawling before I go home to Oregon in July but we'll see if that happens. She doesn't have any teeth popping through yet and I'm grateful for that as well. Teeth are going to hurt her and me. Ouch. She thinks anything in sight is now hers. Taking her out to dinner proves to be quite challenging now. She must have everything that is on the table and it goes straight for her mouth. Lemons are our favorite thing to give her while eating out. Yum!
