Little Miss

My little sweets is really turning into a little lady. I don't think it's possible for me to love my little cute heart girl anymore than I do. I look forward to hanging out with her everyday!!! By late afternoon I also look forward to her bedtime everyday too. She is a girly girl and full of lots of drama throughout the day. I just can't believe how lucky I am to be her mom. I always wonder what great things I did in the pre-existence to be able to raise this sweet little spirit! I wish everyone could know her like I do. She would melt your heart.

I do love oranges.......

and I found out Hunter does too. It always amazes me, I place toys in front of Hunter all day long. Most of the toys entertain him for about one minute. But I placed 5 little oranges in front of him and he was entertained for 30 minutes. It was awesome!! Something else I discovered. Cold, crisp cucumbers work wonders as teething toys. Hunter has been loving knawing of cucumbers the past couple of days.

Happy Half Birthday!!!

In honor of being 6 months and having a half birthday today, Hunter was interviewed on his first six months of life. I thought I would share.

Interviewer: So Hunter tell us a little about yourself
Hunter: I was born July 20th in Missouri. If anyone asks though I would say I'm from Boise because I've lived there 5 out of my 6 months. And I have blue eyes and blonde hair

Interviewer: What are some signigicant things you have done in your six months?
Hunter: Well I've been lucky enough to have been to Adam Ondi Ohman, Liberty Jail, and Indepdence Missouri. I have have been on an airplace twice, and I've celebrated my first Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.

Interviewer: What do you think of your family members? Do you have a favorite?
Hunter: Oh man that's a tough one, I mean they are all so great you know? I mean Haylee is really a character, and I absouletly adore her. Whenever I hear her I always want to be around her. I just like to watch her all day. Her singing, dancing, laughing, and crying are all fascianting to me. And then there is my mom. She is totally amazing. I feel like the luckiest baby in the world to have her as my mom. My eyes really light up when I see her because I know she loves to feed me. But truthfully no one rocks my world quite like my dad. I can't really say I have a favorite because I have an awesome family but I really love being with my dad!!

Interviewer: Why don't you really roll over that much? Isn't that what babies love to do at your age?
Hunter: You know I really thought I would like it more. I've mastered it and it wasn't that exciting to me. I've found that what really works for me is lying flat on my back and scooting with my head steering the way. I can get to my toys much faster that way.

Interviewer: Why don't you like taking longer naps?
Hunter: Hahahah, well I feel like I can cat nap and get all the sleep during the day that I need. I do enjoy my 30 minute naps but any longer than that I feel like I'm missing out on things.

Interviewer: On the same note, when are you going to give up your 4 am snack?
Hunter: Never, no just kidding. I don't know I really enjoy that meal. I mean obviously by looking at me you can tell I don't need that meal anymore but it's so yummy, and I love seeing my mom in the middle of the night. Even though I can tell she is half asleep and not super excited to see me, I always flash her the biggest smile and I can tell it melts her heart.

Interviewer: How are you handling getting your two bottom teeth?
Hunter: Well nights are the worst. It's been really throwing off my sleeping pattern. But my mom finally felt that they popped through and now rubs my gums and dude it feels so good. I'm not really down with my shirt being soaked all the time now though. But luckily I don't think my mom likes my wet shirts either so she changes them often for me.

Interviewer: It really sounds like you've had a great six months! What are you most looking forward to in the next six months?
Hunter: Getting out of my infant carrier. I'm so excited to get in a big boy car seat and the food, I'm so excited for food. My mom keeps giving me more and more flavors and I'm really digging it. I even get to chew on cheerios now. Keep them coming!!

I sure do love my six month old. He is so much fun and we are so lucky to have Hunter in our family!!

My interview inspiration came from my sister Katie. She was interviewed on how it is having five kids. Thanks for the idea Katie!

Long over due

This might be my longest post ever in the history of my blog. It's about Christmas 2010. We went to my house in Oregon for Christmas and it was the best ever. We had so much fun and it was so great being home. I just love going home for Christmas. I love all of my family's Christmas traditions. I had so so much fun with my family. We made Christmas cookies every night, only because the whole batch was gone in one day. We went shopping, roller skating, on walks in the rain, wrapped lots of presents, decorated a tree, had our annual Christmas eve program, ate lots and lots of good food, saw old friends, and watched movies. I'm so sad I have no pictures of us roller skating because it was a blast and my mom is pro skater!! We could't get her out of there. Haylee was in heaven skating with my mom. It was so cute.

My parents have a sit n spin at their house that Haylee tried for the first time. She loved it.

Then she got a little braver and tried standing

My parents have a beautiful gigantic Christmas tree. But when we were growing up my mom had a huge collection of hallmark ornaments that we decorated with. We pulled them all out to let the kids decorate a tree. My sisters and I had so much fun looking at all the ornaments that are filled with so many memories.

My nephew decorating the tree. Cutie Matthew

My brother Steven and Hunter. Steven just recently got his mission call to the Ventura, California Mission. We are so excited for him. He is leaving March 30th. Which means I get to go home again in March to see him off. Yay!!!

Cutest little guy ever in his Christmas jammies! Haylee and Hunter get their Christmas jammies on Thanksgiving night so they can wear them all of December.

All the kids had so much fun together. Sam, Haylee and Matthew are watching a movie togther in my sister's bed. My sister Stacey is the best aunt and always is playing with the kiddos. Haylee adores her.

We always have our big Christmas dinner on Christmas Eve. My mom is the best at celebrating Christmas and sets a beautiful table. I love all of her table settings.

Spencer, my nephew, is ready for his Christas eve dinner. Fork and knife in hand

Every year we have a Christmas eve program. My favorite tradition ever. It wouldn't even be Christmas without our program. My sisters Molly, Stacey, and I sang, picture a Christmas.

For the Christmas Eve program Haylee sang jingle bells while Hunter jingled the bells for her. Totally adorable!

Christmas morning, upstairs waiting to see if Santa came.

Checking out her goods from Santa. I don't know who is more excited, Haylee or my mom. Haylee got a scooter and a treasure chest full of princess dresses from Santa.

Hunter had a great first Christmas, I mean really new toys in front of him left and right. What could be better?

Scootin around on her new Scooter that Santa brought her.

One of Haylee's new princess dresses. She is all glam!!

For new years eve we were back at home in Boise and my sister Molly had a party at her house. It was fun and we are looking forward to 2011.

Sadie, my niece, had lots to drink on new years eve. She really lived it up!!

Random

Random pictures off my phone. Most people apoligize for the poor quality of pictures from their phone, but my camera is so bad that these are better so enjoy the good quality!!

I love taking pictures of my kids together.

I never realized how much I love costco carts until I had two kids to fill the seats

I love that Hunter can sit up. He has so much more fun in life now

I just love this picture all around. This is my new nephew Brandon who was born on Christmas Eve, almost a month early. He really wanted to celebrate Christmas this year! Hunter and him are 5 months apart and I just love the size difference. My parents had three grandbabies this year. All boys and they are got to celebrate their first Christmas together, barely. Nathan was born Jan 1st, Hunter July 20 and Brandon Dec 24th. I can't wait for them to grow up together and be BFF's. Do boys use that term?

2011

It's a new year. I love new years. So much to look forward to. I love seeing my family grow, not in numbers this year but in so many other ways. I usually keep my blog private but I open it up every once just in case some people may want to get onto it that aren't already. I'm ready to go private again so if you are one of those stragglers that don't already have access but would like to just leave me your email adress in a comment. Hope everyone had a great christmas and are off to a great start on their resolutions. So two of mine were to work out 3 times a week. (Very doable) and the other, see how long I could go without eating treats. Ya, right. I lasted one day and for the working out. I worked out today and it's friday so the target number of 3 isn't happening this week. Maybe next week?? No pictures this post which is so lame but I will say Hunter is sitting up and looks so cute doing it and Haylee is always sporting some sort of princess getup these days. And she is adorable.
