In honor of being 6 months and having a half birthday today, Hunter was interviewed on his first six months of life. I thought I would share.
Interviewer: So Hunter tell us a little about yourself
Hunter: I was born July 20th in Missouri. If anyone asks though I would say I'm from Boise because I've lived there 5 out of my 6 months. And I have blue eyes and blonde hair
Interviewer: What are some signigicant things you have done in your six months?
Hunter: Well I've been lucky enough to have been to Adam Ondi Ohman, Liberty Jail, and Indepdence Missouri. I have have been on an airplace twice, and I've celebrated my first Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
Interviewer: What do you think of your family members? Do you have a favorite?
Hunter: Oh man that's a tough one, I mean they are all so great you know? I mean Haylee is really a character, and I absouletly adore her. Whenever I hear her I always want to be around her. I just like to watch her all day. Her singing, dancing, laughing, and crying are all fascianting to me. And then there is my mom. She is totally amazing. I feel like the luckiest baby in the world to have her as my mom. My eyes really light up when I see her because I know she loves to feed me. But truthfully no one rocks my world quite like my dad. I can't really say I have a favorite because I have an awesome family but I really love being with my dad!!
Interviewer: Why don't you really roll over that much? Isn't that what babies love to do at your age?
Hunter: You know I really thought I would like it more. I've mastered it and it wasn't that exciting to me. I've found that what really works for me is lying flat on my back and scooting with my head steering the way. I can get to my toys much faster that way.
Interviewer: Why don't you like taking longer naps?
Hunter: Hahahah, well I feel like I can cat nap and get all the sleep during the day that I need. I do enjoy my 30 minute naps but any longer than that I feel like I'm missing out on things.
Interviewer: On the same note, when are you going to give up your 4 am snack?
Hunter: Never, no just kidding. I don't know I really enjoy that meal. I mean obviously by looking at me you can tell I don't need that meal anymore but it's so yummy, and I love seeing my mom in the middle of the night. Even though I can tell she is half asleep and not super excited to see me, I always flash her the biggest smile and I can tell it melts her heart.
Interviewer: How are you handling getting your two bottom teeth?
Hunter: Well nights are the worst. It's been really throwing off my sleeping pattern. But my mom finally felt that they popped through and now rubs my gums and dude it feels so good. I'm not really down with my shirt being soaked all the time now though. But luckily I don't think my mom likes my wet shirts either so she changes them often for me.
Interviewer: It really sounds like you've had a great six months! What are you most looking forward to in the next six months?
Hunter: Getting out of my infant carrier. I'm so excited to get in a big boy car seat and the food, I'm so excited for food. My mom keeps giving me more and more flavors and I'm really digging it. I even get to chew on cheerios now. Keep them coming!!
I sure do love my six month old. He is so much fun and we are so lucky to have Hunter in our family!!
My interview inspiration came from my sister Katie. She was interviewed on how it is having five kids. Thanks for the idea Katie!
