Hunter runs to his bedroom window any time he hears a car or truck drive by. And he watches it until it drives completely out of sight. So you can imagine how completely excited he was to see this truck pull up and park directly in front of his window. Its like they knew it was a little boy's window who is obsessed with trucks. I think this might have been the most exciting thing that has happened in his life thus far.
And I'm amazed at how a tub of water kept him occupied for an hour. This might have been the second most exciting day in his life. He was so happy with his little bucket of water and measuring cups. I love the little things in life that make toddlers happy.Sunday, April 29, 2012

Tulip Festival
I was lucky enough to be able to go home to Portland for a long weekend. It such a nice weekend and spring was in Portland. So we went to the tulip festival!! It was beautiful!! Pictures can't do it justice. I love, love, love tulips and I've decided when I have a yard I'm ditching grass. I'm just putting in thousands of tulips instead!!

Easter 2012
We had a wonderful Easter weekend. The kids had fun at an easter egg hunt on Saturday. The sacrament mtg talks on Sunday were fabulous, Haylee gave a great primary talk, Relief Society was so uplifting, and we had a yummy Easter dinner with some great friends. Hope you all had a great Easter weekend as well!!!

Some randoms
These lunch pictures will probably only be cute to me but I had to snap some pictures of Haylee and Hunter eating lunch together so I can remember it. I love lunch time around our house. These two have so much fun together eating their lunch. They are laughing and talking. Hunter talking baby talk that only Haylee seems to understand but they sit up there for at least an hour having so much fun together. It makes me happy everyday. Haylee is always so sad when Hunter has to go down for a nap after lunch.
Some of our random easter activities:For some reason this jelly bean easter egg was so much fun to make. Haylee and I had a good time and it's actually one of my cutest easter decorations I have this year! Hence, I think I'm kind of lacking in easter decor
We have been having lots and lots of easter egg hunts around our house. (practicing for the big easter egg hunts on Saturday) This time we had a friend over to join in on our egg hunting. Payton was much better competition than Hunter.
Hunter's idea of easter egg hunting includes finding one, eating the candy and then taking an egg out of Haylee's basket, and eating her candy.
I never knew why peeps existed until this year. They are great for making a craft! We had fun with paint and peeps. I think Hunter was in heaven being able to play with paint and candy. Pretty sure he had a good lick of the paint at one point.
I hope you all have a wonderful easter weekend. We are very excited for Easter this year and celebrating as a family.
