Photo of the day ~ a picture of me again, so I snagged a little buddy of mine to jump in the picture with me. I know, not our best photo but we are keeping it real tonight. My exciting event of the month was, I got bangs!!!!!

But.... We made it. We made it through Jan. I don't know how it was where you all live but here it was very cold, very gray, very snowy and very long!! It's been so much fun doing the photo a day. I hope you guys all had fun too and here's to a Sunny February!

Photo today: Light. I finally got around to changing out a bunch of the bulbs the builder used in our house. I can finally see! I have to have bright light bulbs in my house and these ones just weren't cutting it. LIght bulb anyone?

And Hunter can just barely reach my light switches now and turns on all of the lights in my house all day long. It's driving me crazy!! But I have to admit he looks pretty cute and it makes him very proud of himself.

I hope it's light and bright in all of your lives!

Photo today: My lunch. Well lunch didn't really happen today. With church, sickness, and I had to run over to a friend's house right after church, so lunch just turned into munching all day. So instead I'll post a picture of my brother who is coming home from his mission two months from today. I can't wait to give him a gigantic massive hug and tell him how proud I am of him.

Photo of the day: color. I love Haylee's artwork and how colorful it always is. I love her art so much that I frame it and display it all throughout my house!

I also love how she autographs her pieces. Whether by name.....

Or just an H because she is cool like that. She took an art class last summer and she learned how to paint grass. I love her detail and I love my little artist.

Photo: Guilty pleasure. This is one was easy. Chocolate chips. Only milk chocolate though. My favorite kind are the generic Fred meyer ones. I really can't even buy those one's anymore because I literally eat the whole bag in a day. Gross, I know. Least favorite, Nestle. I actually buy those the most because then I won't eat them and I can actually bake with them.

Photo today: Something I made. I made this little doo dad for our family room.

And just for kicks, You see that little green stool? It's the cutest little thing but it needed a little spunk so I painted polka dots on it. That counts for something I made right? Haylee is begging me to make it the time out stool. But I don't do time outs. So she always just sits on it tells me she's in time out. Ok, fine, be in time out.

photo of the day: Something old. I'm not very creative so I couldn't really come up with anything old. But the kids and I love looking at pictures. A while ago I came across this gem. And old picture of me and my three older sisters. Stacey definitely takes the cute award in this one. Maybe it's because Katie, Molly and me all have some interesting hair do's going on. Its funny the memories that come flooding back with looking at pictures! I totally remember those dresses. And I loved Katie's. Since I was the fourth girl, sadly I had all the handy downs. By the time that dress got to me I'm sure it wasn't as shiny but I still loved it.

Photo today: My shoes. I would love to have organized my shoes for you all and had them in one nice neat place but I have bills to pay, errands to run and mouths to feed so three pictures it will have to be.

This is where most of my shoes are. And Haylee has assigned me to the orange box.

Photo today: Reflection. Haylee has a collection of temples next to her bed. It helps her not to be scared at night and keeps the bad dreams away. We love to look at pictures of temples and recently found this picture of the Salt Lake temple. We both loved it and just had to get it to add to her collection. I especially love the reflection of the temple!

The photo today is a picture of someone I love: Well here he is folks. The man I chose to spend eternity with!!! And who I love!

My feelings about him can be all over the place sometimes. And often times even in one day. But I have learned many things in the six years I've been married to him. Some of those things are that he wants nothing more than for me to be happy. Truly happy. He sacrifices so much, everything really to ensure that I have what I want first. He is the best dad and cares so much for his kids. He is the most self disciplined and hard working person I know. Truly hard working. He goes to the gym every morning at 4:30 and do you know why? So he looks good for me!!!! Okay it's his stress reliever but he goes so early so after work instead of being at the gym he can hang out with me and the family. He doesn't always show me the affection that I want but he has different ways of showing it and I'm learning them. Like when he tackles me, it's because he was checking me out and he likes what he saw! When he teases me about making the same thing over and over for dinner, he gobbles it all up and then tells me how delish it was! My favorite is when he accuses me of being a tag along but then invites me to go with him somewhere. I love going places with Weston. I love his confidence, I love his charisma, I love his muscles, I love watching him teach Hunter to play football. I love hearing him talk on the phone to drs when he's at work, he's all business. I love his big bear hugs, I love how he smells, I love his comments he makes in sunday school, and then how he sneaks in a quick score check, I love when I spy on him studying the scriptures, I love his passion for life, I love hearing him read princess stories to Haylee. I love watching him wrestle the kids. I love going to the redbox, picking a movie, and a treat and watching a movie with him on Saturday nights. I just love him and this year one of my goals is to fall in love with him all over again too! A true love story never ends!!

And in honor of Hunter's half birthday today: We all know Haylee is my little bestie, but this little man has my heart.

I just want to gobble him up all the time. He makes me so so Happy! I love him to bits and pieces and I'm so grateful for my boys!!

Photo today: Sweet. This morning I woke up to the sounds of haylee reading to Hunter. IT was a sweet thing to wake up to. These two take such good care of each other and it's very sweet to me. I break up many fights during the day, mainly because Hunter loves to tease Haylee but I like to think it's out of love. My two sweetie pies!!

Ps. my little haylee bug is starting to take off on reading! Or she is awesome at memorizing which I think might be the main thing right now but she is sure nailing her site words

Photo of the day: Something I bought. Well these days it seems everything I buy is something for our new house. I can't believe how hard it is to decorate a whole house. And I'm only working on the downstairs right now. I bought all of this yesterday for a corner in our family room. Okay just kidding, I bought the clock a couple of days ago. I had plans to put some flowers or something on the lamp but I think I'm actually returning it. I love those little books I bought for the end table. They are such fun positive inspiring books. I have dreams of my kids reading them one day and doing some good in their lives.

Photo of the day: Water. I admit it. I'm already wishing away Winter and dreaming of Summer. Just the other day I was remembering how nice it was to go swimming every single day. That seems like so long ago. Maybe I can pretend to go swimming in the mounds of snow I have in my front yard!

photo of the day is morning. I don't have too many positive things to say about the mornings. I prefer to wake up at 11 everyday and skip mornings all together. But I have kids and if I didn't have kids I'd have a job so it's inevitable, I have to deal with mornings. Weston is a morning person, and lately Hunter has been coming into my bed everyday at 6:30 telling me to get up so I think he might be turning into a morning person. It's really not good for the way I mother.

Me and my gal this morning. We like to have some good snuggle time on the couch every morning.

Photo today is happiness: This is what brings me pure happiness. My family!!!! It runs so much deeper than that for me but I'll spare you all my sappy emotions today and just say they are the best! They know the best of me and the worst and they will always be there for me no matter what!

Photo of the day is something I'm reading. I was talking to my mom a few days ago. We started talking about the book Heaven is Here. I had been wanting to read it. I ordered it from Amazon the next day, it showed up today and I'm on page 22. So......I don't have too much to say so far but I'm enjoying it :)

my picture today is of a close up. This was obviously not taken today as I did not encounter any alligators but I couldn't help but post it as my picture for the day.

This is as close up to an alligator as I ever hope to be. We went to the alligator farm in Arkansas when we lived there for a few months. I felt pretty uncomfortable being surrounded by maybe 50 or so alligators but it was pretty interesting to see and learn about them.

The photo today is totally boring. I'm sorry. It's where I sleep. Well I don't really like going to sleep. I hate going to bed and I'm not much of a napper either. Don't get me wrong, there are days when all what I want to do is sneak off and get a little cat nap, but not too often. I do love a good Sunday afternoon nap though. And since we now have church at 8:30 it makes for perfect sunday napping conditions. This is where I love to take my little cat naps or longer sunday naps.

So to spice this post up a little I have an update from a previous post. When I went grocery shopping this week I needed to stock up on more of my cereal. I nearly panicked when I couldn't find my glorious pink box of cereal. As I kept rescanning the forever ending cereal aisle I finally found my pink cereal in a RED box. I couldn't believe it!! And maybe Weston was right. I think some of the appeal of this cereal was that it did come in a pink box. I kind of don't like when he knows me so well. I like being unpredictable for him.

Today I need to post a picture of my childhood. I don't have a lot of memories of my childhood but I do remember being outside a lot. I grew up in Southern California and we went to the beach a lot. I loved it, our whole family did. I remember bringing some chicken and red vines and spending the whole day there! Fabulous!!

Then I remember skating with my sisters all the time! I was always a little behind them being the youngest for six years but I think they took pretty good care of me.

And we always made trains with whatever we could find. Nothing beats just playing outside and being creative!

Ah, the good old days!

The photo today is of my daily routine. Hmmm.... My daily routine consists of making phone calls, being on hold, doing the budget, paying bills, changing diapers, doing laundry, sorting through mail, doing dishes, making crafts, playing house...school....store, picking up toys, making lots of meals, and snacks, lately blogging, supporting my husband, maintaining relationships, shoveling snow, kissing owies, breaking up fights, running errands, family scriptures, and saying prayers....the list could go on and on. How do I incorporate all of that into one picture??? Well our family goal this year is service. For each other and others all around us. So this is what I have in our mud room right now....

As we go out the door numerous times a day we have this saying in our heads. I have to admit I don't have a service oriented mind. If somebody asks me for help, I gladly help but it's not a mindset for me. I'm trying to make it that way and make it a part of my daily routine. So there you have it. A picture of our daily routine.

The picture today is supposed to be of my sky. I'm sorry to be so negative but I must. I really am not a winter type gal! This sky does not appeal to me at all. I'm all about blue skies and a warm yellow sun staring down on me.

I'm afraid I have to deal with this type of sky for a good 4 more months, quite possibly 5. Ugh!!!

photo today: Favorite! I have so many favorite things, how do I decide? So I chose to post a really bad picture of my favorite quote. I came across this mormon message a couple years ago. I think Heavenly Father place it directly in front of me. It was exactly what me and my family needed to see and hear at the time. Ever since I have loved, loved, loved this quote. It's very dear to my heart.

Photo today: Something that makes me smile. This picture of my kids always makes me smile. Always! I have it hanging right outside of my bedroom. It's the last thing I see before I go to bed every night. My kids aren't even smiling in it, but for some reason, they look like angels to me and have the sweetest expressions on their faces.

Confession: My outfit from the day before is still lying on the floor, so perfect. I took a picture of what I wore yesterday. I tried to be all cool like pinterest for ya.

So the photo of today is something that I adore!

So why in the world would I post a picture of this disaster room? Well I totally adore this room in my house. It's really a main reason why I bought this house. It's kind of off on it's own hiding upstairs. When we were house hunting and I walked into this room I fell in love. I knew instantly it would be a future nursery someday. For now, it's my office/craft space. It's just my room. You would think it was the play room, but nope, the kids just follow me in here. And I kind of like watching their creativity, and hearing their giggles while I'm doing who knows what. Paying bills, blogging, writing in my journal, writing cards to people. I love all the windows, I love the brightness, I love the big closet, I even love the quaint size of it. I adore it! By the way, they are playing swimming pool.

Ok so I have to post a picture of these boots because I do adore them too. I mean yes they're cute but why do I adore them? Weston is not great at giving gifts. It's just not his forte you know? So Valentine's day two years ago he said I got you something. He never has on valentine's day before. So I was like ok whatever. But he insisted that he really did this time. He got me these boots. He told me he really thought I would like some black boots so he spent a really long time picking some out. He told me he kept going back and forth between stores and even asking all the sales ladies which one's he should get. I was very impressed! And I felt a little bad because no I didn't love them. But it meant so much to me that I have grown to love them and now they are one of my favorite pairs of shoes. I feel like one hot mama in them, but mostly because they are from my hottie husband!

Picture for the day: A picture of my breakfast. When I was pregnant with Hunter for some reason I craved this cereal. I've had it almost everyday since. Yum! Weston says I just love it because it comes in a pink box but not true! I love the cereal no matter what color box it comes in.

Does everybody all agree that January is a little dull? Holidays are over, it's cold, dark and long. So I found a little photo a day in the month of January list. So here we go. The first day is a photo of yourself. I think one of photo of myself is little boring so I spiced it up a bit with a few photos, but I promise all other days will just be one photo. This is me.....
