Ok sorry there are a million pics of Haylee. Basically this post is so that my family can see pics of her. It's so sad being so far away from them this summer, especially since my sister Katie had her little baby girl last Friday May 2nd. They named her Sadie. I can't wait to see her. She looks like a little doll from her pics. I can't believe it's already May. We have already had a lot of events this month. Weston and I celebrated our two year anniversary on May 6th!!! Yay for us, we've had a wonderful two years and I have the best husband in the world!!! We took each other shopping, weston got shoes I got an outfit and that night after a long, long day of work for Weston, we went to dinner. The only place still open that late at night was Applebees but many of you know I was very happy with that because that is my favorite place to eat. Probably my favorite part of the anniv was Weston wrote me a love note and I love when he writes to me so it was fun. That same day Haylee turned 6 months and that's a big deal to me. I just can't believe she is already 6 months. It's a little sad because she is so not a newborn anymore. She is at such a fun stage though. She is completly sitting up by herself and lunges towards her toys if they are too far away. She tries to grab everything, which I think is really fun. Ok well sometimes when I'm eathing it's not so fun but I just think it's so cute how she reaches both of her arms out. My favorite thing ever is when she reaches both of her arms out towards me. Oh my goodness it has made all those long exhausting nights of being up all night so worth it!!! Another may event is that it's weston's dad's birthday today and Haylee really wanted to wish him happy birthday along with Weston and I. And of course Sunday is Mother's Day!! And cinco de mayo was the 5th. I hope everyone celebrated. Us APX wives had quite the fiesta. Nothing beats Costco enchilladas and good company!!

Happy Half Birthday to Weston and I
We are here!! We made it to Pittsburgh!! It was a long drive but luckily now we have a third driver in our family. So that made the driving a little easier. Pictured below you will see how good of a driver Haylee is. We unpacked, made ourselves at home and Weston is already on the doors meeting the people of Pittsburgh. We gave Haylee her first round of food today. Her first bite was great and then from there she was very unsure and by the end she wanted to do just what her bib said, go to grandmas. (Probably to have some chocolate) Thanks mom for the bib. I started her on just what I was supposed to. Rice ceral, but I don't think that will last too long. It's disgusting all around, the texture, smell, and taste. We quickly moved to applesauce, which she was much more excited about.

The past couple of weeks
Just hanging out at the park. I'm not sure why she's half undressed. I think we just changed her.
I love that she can sit up in the boppy. She almost entertains herself
This is Matthew, one of my nephews I watched. He loved Haylee. Every time he sees me now he asks, "Baby? Baby?" He loved playing with her.
Just a random picture we took after church last week. I think I was just so excited that it was nice out. I could dress her up for summer.
The blanket house while it was still somewhat put together. Matthew's holding an onion. He decided he needed that in the house along with peanuts and bananas.
She is quite proud after taking one of her first sips of water. It's so funny what I take pictures of now, babies drinking water.
Haylee's new favorite toy is any blanket she can get a hold of. She loves being cozy!Posted by Karen at 9:41 PM 17 comments

A trip to Oregon
Yay we went on a trip home to Oregon and it was so much fun. I loved every minute of being in Portland. It did rain everyday but I don't care because I love it there so much. We decided to drive but Haylee did great the whole way. The real concern about driving is how I would do because I don't like road trips. I would much rather fly. But I did good in the car too. We spent time with my family, went to the nike store in downtown portland, ate, went to omsi, shopped some more, watched movies, watched basketball games, and we even went to Washington to visit my aunt and uncle. My goal in life is to convince Weston to move to Portland. I think I'm making progress. We did move west from Rexburg to Boise.
I think Weston and I make such cute dinosaurs
We went to Omsi, the science museum in downtown Portland, to show Haylee all of the fun stuff and I guess science is not really her thing. It put her right to sleep.
Weston and I remain very calm in an extremely dangerous situation
Stacey on the other hand is in a complete panic and is not handling the situation in a calm way
My mom's birthday was March 30th so I was glad I could be in Oregon for her big day!!
Weston and I stopped at a fish place on the way home. They had a ton of fish there to look at so Weston was very happy to stop and see that. He wanted me to make sure and get the sign that says rainbow trout in the picture so make sure to notice that.
My wonderful grandpa is so great with all the grandkids and great grandkids. I think he has 27 grandkids and 22 great grandkids with one great grandchild on the way.
My beautiful mom. Like I mentioned earlier it was her birthday the weekend we were in Oregon and I was so glad I could be there for that. I love my mom so much and now that I'm a mom I am so thankful for all she did for me growing up and still does for me this day. She is an amazing person and I learn so much from her. She is such an example to me of patience, kindness, unselfishness, compassion, and basically she is just really good at everything she does!!!!Posted by Karen at 9:47 PM 14 comments

Happy Easter!!!!!
Same baby, same pose, same backdrop, different props, different dress, different holiday. I'm obviously not a photographer because I lack creativity but hey Happy Easter!!!!

Haylee loves biting (or gumming) on her bottom lip. This is a classic look for her. And now she is always sockless. She kicks her socks off before I can even get them on. Weston and I are both sock people. We always wear socks even in the summer. Weston is a fanatic about it. I've never seen him wear flip flops or any kind of sandal because he can't stand not wearing socks. Don't you worry that even on our cruise ( a while ago) he wore running shoes on the beach so he could still wear socks. Anyway long story short we are surprised at this point in her short life she hates wearing socks.Posted by Karen at 9:51 PM 15 comments
