Over Memorial Day Weston and I decided to take a quick trip and surprise the kids by going to Great Wolf Lodge. It's only an hour away from our house which is awesome. We got Haylee out of school early and off we went. The kids guessed pretty quickly we were going there and I have no idea how. They are getting to old and smart to surprise these days. When we pulled up everybody was so excited!! We had a great time!!
Besides the great swimming, they had dance parties at night, a bedtime story hour, crafts all through out the day, arcade games, mini golf, a kid salon, a scavenger hunt, and fun eating places. The kids loved the cabin in our room and the bunk beds. Hudson loved hanging out in the lodge and saying hi to everybody. A very fun getaway!Monday, June 13, 2016

A full weekend in May
A Boise trip, an anniversary and a little nature walk. Sadie, turned 8 and was baptized. Haylee and Sadie have spent a lot of birthdays and big events in their lives together. I'm grateful they've been able to do this and hope to keep it up as often as we can. Cousin bonds are strong and powerful! I did not get any pictures of the baptism sadly but it was beautiful and Sadie looked adorable. Weston and I celebrated 10 years at the cheescake factory. My sisters watched our kids so a meal eaten in peace was all I needed to celebrate. After getting back
We enjoyed the wells's pool, swings, and toys.

Weston was super thrilled about doing a photo shoot.

We did a scavenger hunt and one item on their list was a stick.
They didn't mess around. Haylee found this massive bamboo stick.
We also celebrated Mother's Day. It was fun being together with all of my sisters and my mom for this. Molly put together a beautiful tribute to my mom and Katie gave us a special gift. A beautiful list with pictures of our ancestors watching over us and cheering us on. It was a lovely family weekend and I'mPosted by Karen at 9:14 AM 1 comments

Haylee bug
Haylee is becoming a great helper around the house. She loves cleaning her room and likes to vacuum as well. Thumbs up!!
She still loves to craft with me and even though my crafts are easy and a bit on the preschool side she adds her own creativity to it.
She is always coming up with new hairstyles. She'll explain to me what she is thinking in her head and then I have to try and replicate it. This does not always end well but this day she was thrilled it turned out exactly how she had envisioned it. Phew!! It was stressful
She has started taking guitar lessons and is working on the song hey dilly dilly from Cinderella. It sounds pretty good. I'm
I hope these two brothers know how lucky they are to have her as s big sister! She is truly golden to them. And such a great helper with Hudson and Hunter adores her!
She is also playing soccer right now and taking gymnastics. She is really progressing at both pretty quickly. Her soccer team played together in the fall and are with the same coach. It's been fun watching them play this spring because they are really understanding passing and working together now. They know their positions and their skills are growing. The games are pretty fun to watch. She has a strong testimony and often shares it in sacrament meeting. I love hearing her testify of her faith and Jesus Christ. We are so proud of her. The birthday boy
Right when Hudson woke up in the morning we just couldn't wait for his birthday party that night, so we gave him is first present. A sports climber/slide
He made it to the top no problem and had lots of helpers to help him slide down. After three hours of church right at his nap time, he came home and slept through his entire birthday party. We had to wake him up to eat his cake. I have to admit it was actually really really nice celebrating a one year old while they slept. I got to enjoy my meal without a crazy trying to grab my every bite. Since we had just woken him up he was a little out of sorts with the singing and cake. He had no problem digging right into the cake but once he realized that sticky frosting wasn't coming off his hands he was not happy. He is a clean boy that does not like messy hands. Luckily he had a big sister and big brother who had no problem helping him eat his cake. More presents to open. And how lucky to have your great grandpa at your first birthday party. On his actual birthday two days later, we didn't do too much. Just played with balloons every time we ate. I attempted a one year old photo shoot and it was a fail but we got some real pictures with his real mood so that's not a fail I guess. Then I took the kids out for donuts after school. We all appreciated that we were celebrating Hudson as we ate our donuts. Yummm. Hudson is a fan. Words can't even begin to describe my feelings I have for Hudson. Haylee just said to me the other day, "MOm, I still can't believe we have a baby in our family." I really can't believe it either. It still seems like a blur to me being pregnant, and having him in our lives for a whole year. It all happened so fast! Hudson as a big smile that lights up a room. He is actually a pretty smiley baby for how demanding he is. I guess all babies are pretty demanding but he does not have an easy going, sit back and relax, go with the flow personality. He yells and has a short but fierce temper. He loves Hunter the most but also tells Hunter how it is a lot too. I think the Lord knew exactly what he was doing when he spaced them so far apart. His favorite part of his day is picking up Hunter at the bus stop. He goes crazy, seeing the bus and then Hunter. I now can say lets go to the bus stop and he gets so excited and crawls right to do the door. He is like our little puppy. Haylee and I call him puppy. Hudson is all about balls. He loves them!!! He has been to lots of sporting games and will sit and watch pretty intently. I can't get him to watch one second of tv. Which I guess is good but I remember sitting my other kids in front of baby Einstein and I could have ten minutes to get something done. Not Hudson. He is not a self entertainer at all. He'll play great if I'm on the floor with him, other than that he crawls around crying trying to catch up with me. He is walking along furniture and with his little push truck. He can stand when he doesn't know he is for a pretty long time but when he figures it out that he is standing he will sit down. Sleeping, not really happening. I just mean that he is not sleeping through the night. And it's time so we are working on that. He has eight teeth, four on top, and bottom. He used to be a fantastic eater. He would eat anything I put in his mouth. Now he spits most things out. He will always eat cream of wheat though or a baked sweet potato. I'm still nursing day and night but he is starting to not be as interested in the day time. It really depends on the day. I'll still continue to nurse for a few more months. He is wearing size 12 month everything but the pants are still pretty big on him. Happy happy birthday Hudson! Our family needed you!!Posted by Karen at 10:30 AM 2 comments
