Already July
A gorgeous day at the park
Weston and I teach the 9 yr olds in primary. Sometimes we have some mad wall sit competitions!!
Haylee took tap and ballet when she was 4. She told me she wanted to take dance again so I was thinking ballet. Nope, she had one style on her mind and that was hip hop. I was a little sad, I wanted to see her in a little tutu again but hip hop was so much fun. She had a blast. She was a star in her recital. At one point in the dance the music and girls just stop and hold a pose for awhile. The crowd started clapping and thought the dance was over. Then Haylee starts dancing by herself for a few seconds. The crowd went crazy because Haylee had some serious moves. It was adorable seeing 6 yr olds hip hop!
We took a weekend trip to Seattle! Gorgeous!!
The kids took swimming lessons again and made some serious progress. Last year Haylee still refused to put her eyes in the water. This year she loved jumping off the diving board and swimming across the pool. To move up a class they have to jump in the deep end and tread water for 30 seconds. I'm a bad mom and thought to myself Haylee will never do that. She proved me wrong, she jumped right in and did it for a minute. So glad she love swimming now! Hunter always loved the diving board. His class was adorable.
We were so excited to have my sister Katie and her family come for the fourth of July!! Cousin time!!!
Haylee was able to be in the parade with her gymnastics class and cousin Sadie went with her on the float!! Haylee had the wave down and loved spraying people with her spray bottle!!
The line up for sparklers to be lit. Weston somehow got rangled into that job.
Weston is still loving his traeger. For the fourth he did brisket. It kept him busy for two days including lots of trips to the grocery store. But he was very happy with the turnout and I think a couple nephews were too!!
The day after the fourth all 11 of us loaded up to do a bike ride in the mountains of Idaho and Montana. We ride for 12 miles through tunnels, very dark tunnels with our head lamps, and over bridges! It was amazing and gorgeous!!! A really amazing day!!
A bike ride like that deserved a trip to DQ! Hunter is in heaven with his ice cream and his cousin Kyle around!!
