Our house is 1 year old today. The house was completed and we closed April 4, 2015!
We bought our lot in November 2014.

we always had so much fun every weekend driving up to see the progress!!
This is right after closing and receiving the keys. We already look so tired and we haven't even moved in yet. But I had been busy packing up our apartment and I was having a baby in 3 weeks. Moving day would happen the very next day.
I love this picture of Weston walking into our completed house for the very first time, with the kids looking in. A very exciting moment!

This is our house one year later!! In honor of living here for 1 year I wanted to show a few pictures of my favorite things/projects I have been working on. By projects I mean decor. It has been a very very slow process trying to decorate this house. But I love doing it so if it takes awhile that is ok. I don't think I have any spaces completely finished how I want them yet but, it's all a work in progress. I'm terrible at taking pictures so lighting and angles aren't great but I just want to remember my favorite things about this house.
My entry way. I also have this picture of the temple in an 8x11 frame hanging on a different wall in the entryway.

Some family room décor. I love the feeling of peace the christus brings into our home. I also love this picture of my three kids. Probably nobody else can feel the happiness that comes from this picture, but it does make me so happy seeing this picture of my kids so I have it in my family room. Next is my gallery wall. We had family pictures taken a few months after Hudson was born and I didn't know how to display them. One night while half asleep in envisioned a perfect display of how I wanted them arranged. I went to work and it turned out just how I wanted without any flaws. Most of my ideas don't come together easily or how I envision them, so I was excited when this one turned out. I still am figuring out which table or side buffet to put underneath the pictures but this table will work for now as my temporary solution. I also love my white tree in the corner by the stairs and my picture of the Savior underneath the light on the stair landing.

I really have not explanation for this one but I do love my calendar I have behind my kitchen sink. I'm constantly using it because I am at my kitchen sink at least 100 times a day. I feel like it keeps me on top of things.
Onto my mud room. I can't even say it's that dreamy. (We go into lots of model homes with really dreamy mudrooms/craft areas) but it has been wonderful for us. Plus not pictured is a large closet with shelves that I put all sorts of things in. So I do really appreciate the mudroom in this house. And I also love how my pictures above the hooks turned out.

The playroom I have so many ideas for but here is just a couple of things I have done so far in regards to pictures.

I love my three sleeping newborns and my mighty strong big kids. Moving to Haylee's room for a quick picture. I did her room in hot pink, aqua, and gold. I love the picture we put above bed that says good morning gorgeous. I want to wake up hearing those words everyday.
Just a little table we have in an upstairs hallway. The lamp is way to tall for the space and I don't even have handles on the table yet but I feel this space has great potential for cute decor so I put it on the blog.
Again this is another space that has great potential and I'm really excited about it. I have been on the hunt for the perfect chair for this space in my bedroom. And I know once I get a chair here it will be one of my favorite places in my house. So I put it on the blog purely for it's potential of how great it will be.
I have so many more things to do in my bedroom. A bench and rug at the end of the bed, mirrors to be hung behind the nightstands, a bed frame, a dresser, curtains but maybe in another year or 2 or 3 I'll have pictures of the finished project. And then we'll move again. Right now my main projects are my dining room and front room. The dining room has a table and chairs I just got, but now I'm working on a rug, and curtains and adding wainscoating. The front room I'm turing into a study hall. A classy office/homework/craft area.
So there you have it. Our home already full of memories one year later. It's also our little piece of heaven here on earth. A place where we love, teach, learn, play and feel safe. Hopefully a place where the spirit can dwell and is open to friends and family!!
