There are so many times when I don't feel like a real mom. I mean I only have one baby girl and sometimes I just feel like I'm playing house more than anything. I don't have numerous kids climbing all over me, I don't do drop-offs or pick ups, I don't have a van, she doesn't call me mom (more often than not she calls me baby, her favorite word), I still go shopping and buy myself clothes, I don't leave the house with food stains all over me, and I don't say, "because I said so, that's why." However, last Saturday night when we went out to eat instead of ordering appetizers we dug into the diaper bag and started eating gold fish and graham crackers, we ate our meal as fast as we could and asked for the check before we were done eating. There is only so much time that Haylee allows us in a restaurant. And then I realized that I am a real mom. We would never have an experience like that just playing house.

So, Haylee is talking now?! How exciting! Jack just points at everything and goes, "Ehhhh!" But I know he understands us because when I ask him where things are, he points to them. Kids are smart!
LoL. I feel the same way SO many times! Restaurant time with Adalie is few and in between, but it does get a little better when she gets the crayons, her own drink with a straw, and of course, french fries.
Ha, ha, ha. That is great! I must be a real Mom because I do all those things yous said, especially the because I told you so part.
oh how funny! i went to lunch with a friend yesterday. we also ate goldfish and hurried to get the check. my gosh, they take so long to bring your bill! face it - you are a mother, but its not that bad. :)
haaha....all in due time....but definitely no rush! Now when Tanner is at school or something or I don't have Jake with me....I feel like I can get stuff done so much faster because I only have one! It is crazy how the addition of children to your family changes things! And we always ask for the bill before we are done eating too!:)
