our happenings

Some of the pictures lately from my phone. Haylee hosted a couple of her friends for a memorial day picnic. She is such a good little host. Later that night we were going to go make smores in a park. We never made it to the park but we made smores over our stove instead. So many of our friends here are big time campers. They like to give us a hard time about how non campering we are. I sent them this picture and said here is how we like to camp. The teasing really kicked into high gear. Weston gets mad when I say he is not a camper but I've told him to go buy a tent for the past several years and he still hasn't so......really he is not much of a camper in my book. Lots of racing, running around and playing in the sprinklers one night when they should have been in bed! The slip n slide is so much more fun when Dad joins in! Hunter and I were playing with one of his ninja turtle action figures. The ninja was in this position and I was curious if I could do it. Don't worry, I nailed it! Hudson shot me this look when I told him no going in the street. He does not like to be told what to do. Hudson wants to be outside all day every day! Major bonus if Hunter plays with him. He LOVES his big sister and brother!! I've never had a climber baby before. And I don't think he is that adventurous of a climber but he sure does like to climb on any chair that he can, and he stands there and yells at me until I come look at him. He's very proud of himself. Another wrap up of a sports season. Haylee has played with the same soccer team for two seasons now. The team is getting really good and we can't wait for fall. Hunter finished tball and was a super star home run hitter. We started the seasons with ice cream for every goal and each hit that made it to the fence. Haylee was scoring every game and hunter hit it to the fence everytime he hit So the season ended with saying good job for each goal and home run. A crawler who loves to be outside so much calls for lots of baths. I do love a clean baby!! In Hunter's kindergarten class they celebrated the summer birthdays everyday for the last week of school. I was assigned to bring in his birthday treat on the last day of school. It felt odd and a little silly to be brining in a birthday treat a month and half before his birthday. Really I just wanted to enjoy my last day alone before the kids were out of school, but I do always enjoy spending time with my kids in their classrooms and of course the kids were thrilled to be getting another treat.
