You really could just have stayed at our resort all week long and had a fabulous vacation. There were 8 pools, 6 hot tubs, two water slides, the longest lazy river I've ever seen, splash pads, snorkerling, a kids club house, eating options galore, shaved ice stand, paddle boarding in the lagoon, boogie boarding, sand toys, ice cream shops, gift shops, a spa and salon, and pool parties with the Disney characters. Really it is Disneyland in Hawaii. So I know I needed to plan a few days just to stay and play. Friday was on of those days, our third, but 2nd full day in Hawaii. The kids were somewhat adjusting to the time and were up at 6 am instead of 5. So after eating breakfast we headed to the beach by 7am. And we had such a fun day lounging around. Well in the middle of chasing 3 kids that went all different directions all day long.
One of my favorite things of the whole trip, was a couple of nights when the boys were in bed, Haylee and I would walk along the beach. It was totally dark but we would walk along the ocean and run from the waves. It was so peaceful and relaxing and I Loved being able to just spend time with Haylee on this trip. We would lie in the sand looking at the stars just talking all about what it's like to be in the third grade. This girl thrives on quality time and receiving compliments so we listed all of her talents and skills and spiritual gifts. I need to do that more often with my kids. Hawaii is really good for the soul!!
